I experienced lifes of isolation, mental escape and violence. 'The ones' that to me contain the highest form of truth and uniqueness, are casted out by a society that advertises with individualism. Every facet of their shell reacted to their inside and even long hair was a sign  of freedom, in consideration of their specific cultural background.

Can something as superficial as clothing embody as much depth as personality holds? I seeked in thirteen countries of two continents for the possibility of identity and individuality, travelled every week anew alone to a place unknown to me and searched for 'the ones', that utilize clothing as an expressive means of their personality.

I achieved a sentiment for every found subject, by interviewing them from one to five hours and staged cinematographic portraits of their personality in apparantly complete isolation. The locations are chosen consciously to reflect my perception of the characters. They are not altered, and nor are the subjects. They are simply their own 'selves'.

The object / book is the aim of this work. Enclosed by a weaving it gathers a group of  39 personalities, whose strenght is rewarded with ostracization. Their own words are shown like floating thoughts in the final part of the object / book and give proof of their reality.

Everything I know now is formed by the people I talked to.
